  RENEE´ FLEMINGS WRITER/ACTOR/SINGER/FILMMAKER/EDUCATOR

Educator & Facilitator

Renee´ has been a teaching artist/ facilitator with numerous cultural institutions working in classrooms with students grades K-12 as well as undergraduate and graduate students.  She has also facilitated numerous professional development workshops and partnered with many organizations including Lincoln Center, 92nd St. Y (CALL), Arts Connection, Theatre For A New Audience, Roundabout Theatre Company and The Metropolitan Opera.  
Renee´ was thrilled to be one of the original advisers on the New York City Blue Print For the Arts in Theatre. 
She was also involved as a panel member for NYSCA and presented/facilitated workshops at the New York City Educational Roundtable; Empire State Summer Retreats; AATE; The Boalian Conference in celebration of the work of Augusto Boal. For many years Renee´ developed and led professional development workshops in the New York City public school system.

Additionally, She has partnered with Community Works as a teaching artist and assisting in development of their Harlem Is project.

Working with New York University, she traveled to Ghana, Africa to teach introductory filmmaking to students. 

In West Yorkshire, England Renee´ worked with senior college students introducing them to classroom practice and pedagogy as teaching artists. 
Renee´ has also worked for many years with ZINC, as an actor/writer and facilitator. Through her work with Zinc she has worked with the professional athletes of the NFL, NBA, WNBA, NHL, Major League Baseball and college students exploring life skills as they prepare to enter the playing field.   
Renee´ was also instrumental in developing The Theatrical Teaching Framework utilized for years by Roundabout Theatre teaching artists.  
She is currently working with mentoring and guest lecturing on playwriting as well as her continued work in the New York City public schools.  

She is available for consultancy and remote teaching opportunities for students and adults in playwriting/creative writing and arts related workshops.
